Student Societies

Part of the EMSA Turkey and EMSA Europe network, the society runs projects in seven areas of work, including medical education, medical science, public health, ethics and health policy.

Continuing the journey that began in 2014 with Leyla and a red bicycle, the society plays games with children receiving treatment in hospital and connects children with chronic illnesses with volunteers.

Set up to break the cliché that medical students don’t know how to have fun, the society gives students a break from exams and clerkships with chess tournaments, trips, film nights and quiz contests.

The society organises symposia, hospital observations, article and case discussions and debates, and wants students to graduate with a multidisciplinary outlook.

The society brings together students interested in psychiatry and mental health through talks, seminars, case discussions and social events.

Bringing theatre, music and painting under one roof, the society runs workshops, rehearsals, exhibitions, concerts and stage performances.
