About us
As Mersin University Faculty of Medicine Arts Society, we see art as a powerful space of communication that brings people together and makes them think, question and change, as well as a form of expression. By bringing different art disciplines, above all theatre, music and painting, under one roof, we aim to be a society where creative, free and productive people grow and that enriches the cultural and artistic side of university life.
Our vision
Our core vision is to turn art into a living experience open to everyone, to create an artistic environment where members can discover themselves, develop different perspectives and present their own work, and to show a wider circle, starting from our university, how art can change people.
Our aim
Beyond producing works of art, we care about raising people who create, question, share, criticise and do not hesitate to express themselves. By creating an inclusive environment where students at every level can find a place, we aim to enrich university life with art and strengthen the value of creating together.
What we do
We give our members a space to create surrounded by art, running training, workshops, rehearsals, exhibitions, concerts, performances and stage work in branches of art such as theatre, music and painting.
Theatre
Through our theatre work we support the collective creation and expressive power of the performing arts.
Music
Through our music work we support the unifying side of sound and rhythm.
Painting
Through our painting work we support the freedom of visual expression.
Joint projects
With joint projects in which different disciplines feed one another, we aim to widen the limits of art.
